Aaron is a very special boy, smart as anything, and besotted with lego! So when mom, Wendy, asked me to design a lego party for him, my brain started ‘building’ it in my mind, ‘brick by brick’!
Down the centre of the room, I placed a trestle table adorned with party packs, a gorgeous felt lego character for each child, a lego building mat and lego for each child to build with during the party, and lego biscuits with icing and sweeties for each child to decorate their own lego cookies, and sample along the way ! In between that hard work, the kiddies could fill up on sugar at the dessert table, filled with bright buttercream cupcakes, macaroons, chocolate bars, lego-man cake-pops, butter biscuits, bright and colourful jelly-cups and a variety of yummy primary-coloured sweeties! At the refreshment station, kiddies could choose from blue, red, green or yellow soda (oh, how to choose!!) or snack on savouries at the savoury station. How darn cute was the main cake with its five little lego dudes holding the candles, ready for Aaron to blow out! Kiddies had some fun outdoors too playing in the garden, on the jungle gym and smacking their way through the cutest lego piñata!
As usual, kiddos went home with a variety of treats: a gorgeous personalised lego tote bag to fill with crayons, colouring-in books, little bags of lego, personalised lego mousepads/placemats, little lego figurines, bubbles, lego-man felt masks, pencil-cases to colour in themselves , and one of my favourites, my hand-painted and decorated bright yellow mason jars decorated like lego characters, and filled with marshmallows!
What a brght and cheery party, and best of all, Aaron loved it and built beautiful memories with his family and friends!!
