My passion is parties! It runs deep in my veins, but don’t even get me started when it’s a party for one of my own children. This party was for my middle child, Isabella, our diamond child with Down Syndrome. Simple are her wants and needs in life, but she absolutely adores being surrounded by her friends singing “Happy Birthday” to her. I can almost see little stars radiating from her eyes, and this was her 10th birthday – double digits, another reason to celebrate big time! Two of Isabella’s favourite things in life are Paw patrol and ice creams. What better way to marry the two into one sweet and girly, Paw patrol Ice Cream Parlour Party! The day arrived, all sunny and ready for Isabella’s friends. Special elements to this party: a lucky “dip” for prizes, homemade pavement popsicle chalk, 3D paper softserve and popsicle boxes filled with marshmallows and jelly beans, the most darling ice cream van party boxes, and for kiddies to take home: personalised Paw patrol carry- bags by Personal Space, hula hoops (I hoop you had fun!), little crocheted ice cream keyrings, tiny crocheted pups and crocheted “melted” ice cream cones. I also made push pops filled with homemade confetti, which each child pushed to shower Izzy with love and confetti when she blew out her candles!! An unforgettable day for the sweetest 10 year old Izzy!!
