Dynamite surely DOES come in small packages! Daniel K. proves this with his mega spunk, attitude, personality, theatrical and musical abilities he squeezes into that tiny body! This boy’s going places……watch this space! This HAS to be my most favourite party theme I have ever styled! To learn more about it, I downloaded the game on my phone and I’m STILL addicted! I understand why this theme is a winner, and some adults even use it as a wedding theme!
The party had a couple of zones:
The adult table, adorned with beautiful flower bouquets and gifts of succulents and gold coins for the adults to take home. They were spoilt on this beautiful Friday afternoon with cocktails and snacking platters!
A stunning photo booth backdrop made up of balloons and ghost faces, as well as the cutest photo booth props for kids and adults to strike a pose for some seriously cute photos and memories!
The kids zone: made up of the kiddy table, where personalized bags and placemats had been designed for each child. Piranha plants adorned the tables and a Debonairs delivery was exactly what Mario had chosen for the kids to eat. In this area, Daniel had made a request for slush, so of course there was Piranha punch (red slush) and Yoshi juice (green slush). There was a donut board of Donkey Kong donuts, a popcorn station and of course, the main feature, a dessert table with themed butter biscuits, main cake, cloud jellies, cloud meringues, cakesicles, cupcakes, goomba puddings, star rice crispy treats and Bob-bomb and Piranha plant cake pops! Oh my… what a feast!!!
In a separate area was the coolest Mario Merch station, with Mario T-shirts, caps, cooldrink bottles, pencil cases and facemasks, as well as ‘Level up” tote bags for kiddies to put their goodies into!
Onto the favour station (Toad’s toy chest)!!!! Always a favourite! Here the kids could use their yellow or red felt M(Mario) or green L(Luigi) bags to put their goodies into:
Skittles in Boo boxes, cloud boxes full of mini mallows, donkey kong bananas, cherries, Goomba keyrings, Baby Yoshi teddies, miniature gumball machines, star wands Yoshi blowers, Chocolate Nintendo WII remotes, felt Mario, Luigi and princess Peach masks, the most exquisite pizza chalk, black ninji slime and gorgeous play dough kits complete with roller, three mario stamps and play dough tins made by the uber brilliant Molly Mae! Frisbess, Mario stickers and mario moustaches, 3D mushroom boxes filled with jelly beans completed the spoil for the kiddos!
Onto the games: pin the moustache on Mario; pop Bob-Bomb to reveal tickets to redeem prizes; Toad Scurry (similar to musical chairs; fInd Princess Peach who had been hidden on the premises; a Yoshi egg hunt and a Dodge the Boos game where the kids had to jump over warp pipes without being touched by a Boo (giant white balloon). There was also the warp beanbag toss where kids were divided into two teams and had to toss their bean bags fastest into either the Mario bin or the Luigi Bin! If they still had energy after this, they could test their jumping skills on the stunning white jumping castle to see if their heights could rival Mario, Luigi and princess Peach!
They had definitely burnt off enough sugar to go and fill sweetie bags with a selection of sweeties from the sweetie display: canon balls, fire bombs, fangs, fire snakes, gold coins, green sour vines, Luigi Liquorice , Lucky 7 mix, or fill their ‘Chomp Chomp Piranha’ take away boxes with goodies to eat the next day.
Lastly, another major winner at the party was a Boo Breath Cotton Candy station where Cotton Candy cones were spun for the kids. They could choose from the most awesome flavours: apple, banana, strawberry, marshmallow, crème soda and chocolate, topped with either pop rocks, sprinkles or glitter!!!
The whole sunny Friday afternoon was so much fun, so memorable for kiddies and adults alike, and Daniel K surely leveled up to level 7 in style!!
